This shelf is very useful and comes in handy in all sorts of ways. However, if you're not careful it can cause injury. My thumb got pinched in the corner hinge before I can get the support bar screwed on. Then as I went to pull the basket open, it got a bit stuck, I pulled it, and it then flew off its sliding bars, and fell onto my desk work area. On its way down my finger got scratched on a rough edge, which, as I mentioned in the photo, the basket has many. I'll keep it because I really needed this shelf as it is perfect for my work area, it's metal and I work with magnets so that helps, it's a great space saver, and I don't have small children. Also, it should had been made better for the pricey cost. But those are the only reason why I'll keep it. I'm crafty so I can hack some of its problems...if I don't lose a digit or something. I think I'll consider raising it a bit to hang it on the wall instead. The good part, it's very versatile and it's a space saver. It frees up my work area from clutter. It holds a lot or a little. It can expand almost to the length of my desk.
